You said "His statements about homosexuality and HIV I equate to a similar level to those who deny the holocaust. I know those are very different things, but people are welcome to disagree with me."

I want to know why you think this?

While there is no denying that AIDs first came into the spotlight in the US during the 1980s as a disease that was attacking and being spread in the gay community, there is nothing in AIDs that makes it a "Gay Plague." The disease did not originate in homosexuals, nor did HIV and AIDs make its first appearences in homosexual communities worldwide. There are many ways of contracting this terrible disease and not a single one of them is dependant on being homosexual or engaging in same-sex relations. Unprotected sex, contact with contaminated blood, IV drug use are all ways to contract this disease.

The evidence of the nature of this disease is undeniable. It is a plague for all humanity. I won't get into discussion about his beliefs and philosophy about homosexualtiy unless you want me to.

I equated his stance that AIDS is a "Gay Plague" is similar to sifting through the history of events in WWII and claiming that the holocaust didn't happen. Simply, I can't understand how he can make the claim and be expected to be taken seriously.
