That may be true. But he does have expertise on the disease so what makes him a bad choice? His reliegious beliefs? Then you would be discriminating him.
Yes, indeed. In fact, there is no law or rule against discrimination in political appointments. If he was applying for a job opening in the government, that would be a different story.
Yet to be seen, he may do very well there, or he could make a fool of himself.
His appointment will cause trouble for the Bush administration, no matter how wonderfully or horribly he performs. Thus, I believe, appointing him is an idiotic political decision, and I hope it is reversed.
