Current, relevant, and possibly the most controversial topic on anyone's agenda. You cannot do any better than this. Though, I should warn you, it is a topic that many fear to tackle, simply because of the huge number of sides to the debate. However, with careful research, and respect for the many religious groups that could easily be offended by your opinion, then you should be able to write an excellent piece.
