Wow. I first thought I'd go back and convince the Native Americans to NOT help the Pilgrims on the Mayflower survive. but I guess that would not have stopped the mistreatment of our ( I mean mistreatment by americans)environment today. (I picked the native americans because they have an understanding of how they are connected to nature and also of how humans actions affect the world around them so maybe technology and how people go about studying new things would be different).*shrugs*
Maybe I would make only one religion to see what that would have meant for the future... maybe I would have assassinated Hitler...
But I don't know. I used to think I could make a difference, back in my college days. But I don't think that ONE thing that I could go back in time to do would change history. The human race is on a clearly marked path.
But wait... I guess I don't have to change history.. (funny how I automatically wanted to CHANGE history)I could just experience another time period... Hm. I don't think I could pick one time or one person. There are lots of interesting things about history and time periods, but I am also reminded of sickness, hunger, cold, etc that could not be remedied in different times. Many people have a romantic view of how things were. But there were a lot nasty realities as well...
I KNOW! I would go back to just before the evolution of humans and travel around the whole entire planet. Just to see what it was like before humans showed up. It must have been beautiful.
I believe only news and research that validates my opinion. Everything else is conspiracy and lies.
