I went to the most awesomest concert I have ever seen! Catriona Sedai - 21/01/2003 07:48:25 AM

The Chieftains!

(For those who haven't the faintest clue who The Chieftains are, they're an Irish folk band, and they're really about as freaking famous as you can get in the genre. And they earn every last whit of it!)

They had Irish step dancers and Canadian somethingorwhatsit dancers (yeah, I paid attention to the name repeated about 4 or 5 times... Canadian coutnry dancing or something. It's basically Irish step dance only much less rigid through the upper body) and some guest musicians. It was just so... rousing and fun and lively and organic. Give me accoustic instruments any day, I say, and something with spirit! Hehe, this concert did nothing for my opinion of popular music.

AND! I got to go to it with one of my friends from high school whom I haven't -really seen- pretty much since graduating, so that was great! The whole experience was so gratifying and fun. I had such a blast!
