Have you ever thought of joining any one of the defence forces?
Yes. I seriously was going to go to the Coast Guard academy (I'd never just enlist--wanted to be an officer). Sadly, or happily, my eyesight was just TOO bad.

Nope.

Do you think a regimented and ordered life would be hard to follow?
Not really. My college was a bit like a lot of military academies except for the physical labor/exercise.

Do you think soldiers shouldn't bother with the actual thinking part of war? Or does it really matter as long as they do the job?
I think a smart soldier is certainly a more effective soldier, but let's face it, not everyone has an IQ over 80.

Why would someone JOIN the army to begin with? To be a hero? To be regularly paid? WHAT? tell me.
Lots of reasons. Service and a sense of duty to their country, a job, pure enjoyment (I seriously know a teenager who's only hope is to be a marine grunt).

What sort of people join?
