1) War
actually I haven't ruled that out completely, it might be necessary, the case hasn't been proven
2) Sanctions indefinitely
3) Inspections indefinitely
actually, I didn't read his whole post, it was the sarcastic tone that sh!t me. Inspections backed up by force if necessary. Let's disarm him and if he tries to resist, then force. For now however.....
4) Diplomatic Pressure
I don't think that has been working too well
Wads' reply: None of the Above, thanks.
Fanatics response: Then what shall we do, seriously?
Wads' reply: I want to find a smoking gun, after which I may have an idea, which may include supporting a war.
Note how you didn't answer the question? Because I did.
my whole point is......
for the moment the case for war hasn't been proven. It hasn't been proven to be necessary. I just allowed myself to get a bit too ticked off with fanatics post. As well, fanatics post was broad and also included all the bleeding heart bullsh!t which has nothing to do with my point of view.
oh yeah, I want UN approval for any war.
Now imagine the absence of a smoking gun, which is the situation we're in now, according to you. What shall we do to contain Saddam?
oh and what are you doing to contain north korea? Policy on the run is just so wonderful. So is hypocrisy. For the moment he is nicely contained and is hardly the biggest threat around, no matter what you think.
I'll admit, I wasn't very clear and didn't take the time to state my firm position properly, in future though......
