I've only been to one of the 6 hr exams when the majority sat the full time. But it's what they say, the knowledge is what's important, shouldn't stress it.

Oral exams on the other hand, can vary a lot more. it could be everything from half an hour to four hours. (I even ehard a story of someone who had an oral exam for 2 days... working time... that examinator was quite mad)
