Have you ever thought of joining any one of the defence forces?

Yes actually. Have considered becoming an army engineer, and still may yet join the Army reserve especially if my boss has any say in it. He is a major in it, most recently serving in Timor rebuilding roads and bridges.

While I have absolutely no interest in shooting at people I am aware that some people like it and in the aftermath the sappers are often needed.

Personally I think the regimentation would be good for me, as would the experience .. oh yeah and the tax-free pay...

Do you think a regimented and ordered life would be hard to follow?

Do you think soldiers shouldn't bother with the actual thinking part of war? Or does it really matter as long as they do the job?

Why would someone JOIN the army to begin with? To be a hero? To be regularly paid? WHAT? tell me.
