Have you ever thought of joining any one of the defence forces?

oh!... not really, although I've worked in a Defence sceintific lab, as a scientist. Good thing is, I worked on defense, not offense. did you know that most countries, including Canada and the US, have agreed not to make new weapons? They can improve those that already exist (like making sure the machine gun won't get stuck) but not develop new ones... nice to know, uh?

not that much, as long as there's wisdom involved, not blind obedience

well, it depends on the POV. For an army to function properly, soldiers have to obey, not discuss. But that's not a very enlightening way of living, to be sure.

Why would someone JOIN the army to begin with? To be a hero? To be regularly paid? WHAT? tell me.

beats me. Why do americans love their flag so much? It's only a piece of cloth, after all. Same thing for the army.
