Have you ever thought of joining any one of the defence forces?
Yes, and is considering going back in.
Or have you already BEEN in an army type thing?
Army Reserve 1983 - 1989 357th Chemical Corp.
What about those youth group things like scouts or being a cadet?
I'd aim for the pompous cadet. No offense to anyone, but scouts just seems...so...dorky nowadays.
Do you think a regimented and ordered life would be hard to follow?
No, not at all.
Do you think soldiers shouldn't bother with the actual thinking part of war? Or does it really matter as long as they do the job?
"Attention, Johnny! We're going to go with a new program, it's called Project Duncecap. From now on, we don't want you to think during wartime."
Come on. What do you think it's like to be a soldier? What do you think it takes to become a soldier? To be a soldier requires more than being a bull in a China Cabinet. A non-thinking soldier is a dead soldier.
Why would someone JOIN the army to begin with? To be a hero? To be regularly paid? WHAT? tell me.
One word...Honor
OK, I lied. Discipline, Confidence,Women, Service, Adventure, Travel, Women, Pension, Job Security, did I say women?
What sort of people join?
All sorts, but not all make the grade.
