So, I have been thinking lately because of surveys being released that people are addicted to computers and how bad it is, and all that whiny crap nerdy scientists who have no clue like to spout.
Back to the thinking, I was wondering what my life was like before wotmania. And I have come to the conclusion that it was less than it is now.
Basically I partied a lot and studied a lot and hung out with real friends more, but thats about it. Now I find myself spending more time with online friends than with offline friends. (note this is due to the fact that Wads lives in redneck Adelaide - Sophy and Linda said this, not me; and that the rest of my friends are back in NYC or in other parts of the US/Australia elsewhere.) This is also due to the transformation of life from student to early 20s bum/slacker.
But at the same I wonder if I am more accepting of some ideas because of wotmania. I certainly am exposed much more to the right than I ever was in NYC. I am even exposed to Libertarian canines. Oh the horror.
So the question is - What was your life like before Wotmania?
Wotmania helped me see that his drug abuse wasn't going to get better and that I was enabling him. It was also an escape from that drama. And a support group when I finally moved out with my baby to my mom's. 14 years later I'm in a healthy happy marriage 10 years strong with two boys. A teenager who knows everything and a four year old who does as well. I never have to think for my self again! Also I found my Grimbear lifelong partner boyfriend husband love machine! I'm definitely better for wotmania. So many wonderful people who enrich my life daily!!
