He was never elected by a majority of his people.

Too bad the people don't elect the president. The states do.
The people of each state vote for who they want their state to vote for, and then the state (through the electoral college) casts a vote for whoever the majority of the people voted for.
This is not a "technicality." It is a deliberate institution within the American government system to balance power between the states and the federal government.
America is not a Democracy. It is a Democratic Republic. No one ever said that majority rules.

It's misleading and prejudiced. It demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of American culture, society, or government. People should learn about things, or better yet visit places, before they spout off about them.
