That we get away with stuff we otherwise wouldn't, because we are powerful and other countries are weak. I submit that other countries do that kind of thing all the time, without respect to relative power.

No country or person can say there actions are 100% legal, I suspect.

I think it was more a comment to say that the US isn't whiter than white which there is an impression sometimes that Americans tend to think they are, but then as you say no country is and people in all countries tend to have this attitude
