nope, never gonna happen, i am not going to explain the whole thing, because it would take to much time. & the benefits of being in the EU are to huge.
The benefits of being in the EU are large. However withdrawal from the EU would also provide huge benefits - the ability to join NAFTA, and reinstate free trade with the commonwealth. The uK is such a large trading partner for the EU too that special trading deals could and would most likely still remain in place. Current estimates are that the UK's economy would grow as a result from withdrawal.
The US never ratified the League of Nations. The problem was that some big nations weren't a member of it & i think that every nation had a veto then (but i am not sure). The UN is important for the US. The problem for the US is that it needs the UN but it doesn't like it when the UN has to much power. I haven't got the time right now to explain it more in detail. But i will give you a more detailed answer soon..
I look forward to hearing your argument. I know the US never ratified the League of Natinos that is the whole point. Any world wide body needs not just the US to acknowledge it exists but to be an active member of it, not least just for the funding. I am particular interested in your views as to why the US needs the UN.
