I dunno.. I'm more concerned that this surgeon is taking extra time during a surgery to do this.. I can only assume that this would be a health risk to the patient. It seems somehow wrong, yet like you said, it is being removed, and I can't pinpoint why I find it offensive. So, I've come to the conclusion it's because I'm a Maryland fan.
