I don't think I'd have a problem with american interference around the world if it was based on true understanding of the issues that provoke problems in other parts of the world.
In my opinion, American foreign policy is based on a very limited perspective (200 yrs of history) and is slightly skewed by an inflated sense of self-importance. America has acheived a lot of wealth, power and influence over a relatively short period of time, and Americans have reason to be proud of their country. But fail to see the world in terms other than them and us.
Reminds me of myself as a teenager, really. I was right about everything and all grown up. The world was either with me or against me and that varied from day to day. Very touchy and self-involved was the young Rana.
I say give America a few hundred more years... It's a kid with a lot of potential.
