why don't you like english classes?
They pretend to teach you stuff, but you never learn anything new. All you do is read things (which is good, but is only the bait), and then pick them apart looking for meaning. That kills it! It's like cutting apart a tennis ball to see what makes it bounce! And the writing ... *shudders* ... they make you write within all the rules, conventions, and general stuffiness of formality, when all should know and be taught that expression relies less on rules and more on structure. And structure, my friends, is a highly subjective thing.
