I think if Powell was in charge, I'd have less reservations on this. I just naturally trust that guy. There was article in the paper today that said Powell appeared to him as "A reluctant warrior who has seen the face of battle and fights only when he must" and surely that's the kind of guy you want running a military campain ?
From how I understand it, neither Powell or Bush will RUn the campaign. The Commandeer-in-Chief(president) wants to wage war. He then goes to Congress to ask for a declaration of war against a country or countries. Once given(If it is not given it is usually 'a peacekeeping mission' that goes) he then goes to the Pentagon and has them draw up a war campaign. The highest ranking general is usually chosen to lead the campaign. Does anyone think that the President really has all the time on his hands to be personally involved in the war campaign besides just directing the general direction or course? This is just a generalization of what happens but you get the idea.
