What exactly is an honest and fair war? How does one prosecute a war fairly, as opposed to in a manner to benefit himself and his cronies? Do you actually think that if the "face of war" is someone who appears the reluctant warrior, that the troops involved will react differently? That a soldier thinks about his Commander-in-Chief's desires before he pulls the trigger?
Chamberlin or Churchill. Kohl or Hitler.
The point isn't how the soldier acts but how he is deployed and the goals which the campain is striving for. I mean if Saddam was in charge of America, do you think he'd use the weapons at his disposial differently than Bush will ? I mean, Bush COULD just nuke Iraq if they displease him. He won't cos he's not a psycho (despite what some people would have you believe.)
George S. Patton on war:
The object of war is not to die for your country. The object is to make some other poor bastard die for his.
There's no such thing as a nice war.
He never said there.
It is one of the things Lini is for, taking the blame. She usualy deserves it even if I don't know how.
