I'm amazed that a bunch of people from another country who have NEVER played the sport, most of which have NEVER seen the sport can go off on how "sissy" it is.....
I've played football, and while I never had 350 pounds land on top of me, I can most assuredly promise you, that is what requires the padding. Football injuries are career enders, and sometimes, life enders for those players. Maybe, just mobility enders. Padding helps stop that. You wouldn't know that though, would you?

Trust me when I say, we wouldn't want you "sports" to interfere with ours. There are die hard soceer fans here, as much as there are die hard football fans. For me, I prefer the contact and the constant excitement of a football game
