You're right. Most Americans are egotistical and don't respect anyone else. I try my best not to be one of those people, but the vast majority of Americans are.
I'm a college student right now, and a friend of mine from Peru had two of her friends come up and visit her. The first person they met was my friend's roommate. The idiot roommate sees one girl (who is blonde) and says, "There are blonde people in Peru?" Then she asks where they go to school and after hering they go to Universities in Lima she responds, "There are Universities in Peru?"
That's just an example of the ridiculous ignorance of the common American. And if it pisses me (an American) off, just imagine how pissed off that makes the rest of the world. People don't get pissed off because most Americans drive SUV's and crap like that; they get pissed of because Americans don't care about anything but their SUV's. They go on about their lives never bothering to learn about the outside world. And then they head out into that outside world on vacations without knowing a damn thing, or bothering to learn a damn thing, beforehand. And they make complete asses of themselves and make the rest of us look bad.
