what is with europeans/aussies/any other nonamericans, deal with always bugging over us americans. What have we ever done to indicate we were more stupid than any one esle (and dont say elect george w, there was craziness there ) You could say because we have a ton of resources while much of the world has little, but europe, australia and many other countries are also very rich, and japan has a higher standard of living than us. Is it becuase we drive SUV's, if so than your saying its wrong to drive a safe, reliable car. And when i lived in France tons of people drove suvs, wether it was a pugeot, a citreon, or a mercedes, and there was plenty of that. Is it becuase we play footbal, wich by the way is the most strategic sporting game around. well what is it?
I personally love Americans. Yes, we're rude, ignorant and pollute the environment. We think it's our duty to go around to the countries in the rest of the world and tell them what to do, how to think and to play nice...or else.
Our students in schools and colleges are complete idiots and they grow up to be complete idiots. (I have found that idiocy isn't really something one grows out of)
We think people have the right to say whatever they want anytime they want ( as long as they don't talk about God) We feel it's our god-given (oops...said the g-word) right to have turkey on Thanksgiving Day and beer and nachos during the Superbowl. We wonder why people in other countries can stand living in those other countries and then close the borders so that we don't have too many immigrants clogging up the job market. We expect the immigrants who manage to make it here to learn how to speak english the way it's meant to be spoken, bad grammar and everything. If you meet an American on the street you might become someone's "buddy" for a moment. (as in hey, buddy howya doin?)Most Americans don't even know the history of their own country, the pledge of allegiance, or the preamble to the Constitution of the United States Of America. Most don't appreciate the sacrifices their ancestors made for them, whether they were brought over as indentured servants, slaves, landowners, or those teeming masses spoken of on the statue of liberty. Most don't appreciate the spectacular beauty of the land that has not yet been turned into stripmalls and "planned communities". Most Americans have never felt the tears in their eyes when they get to the part in the Star Spangled Banner about "the flag was still there". Hell, most Americans have never even heard the 2nd 3rd and 4th verses of that song which are just as poingant. Or read the poem it was adapted from. Yes, we are lazy, stupid and rude, but there is no where else I would rather live.
