i agree, americans tend to be arrogant. but i think the bigger problem is ignorance. americans tend to focus only on themselves and america. it's all about 'me, me, me!'.

but i don't think this is an american fault to any appreciable degree. american's express resentment towards people of all nationalities which would seem to indicate that people of different backgrounds sometimes rub each other the wrong way--which i think is perfectly understandable.
