Do/did you date more people, for fun or more seriously, or are/were you more likely to date less often, whether from personal pickiness of lack of selection, before settling down with someone?

I would be dating for fun while keeping a serious eye out for a potential husband later on. I also wouldn't let a relationship go on for a really long time if I didn't see marriage in the future. Why lead the guy on if we would end up breaking up sometime in the future anyway. It be harder for both of us if we let it go on.
