Did I make it seem like I wasnt aware of that? i seem to remember stating quite clearly that i was basing this on the practices of the so called "Atheists" that i myself am aquanted with. Yes I know that the very definition of athesim imparts that there should be NO practices, but an individual's religion hardly tends to be a by-the-book thing, no pun intended.
The point is, you *can't* "practice atheism", as it has no practices. Prayer is a "practice" of some religions, because religions are complex belief systems involving practices. Atheism is not a belief *system*. It is the lack of a single belief, that in deities. It's no more a belief system than 'aleprechaunism', to coin a term. There's only a term for atheist because theists are prevalent--most people don't believe in leprechauns, but there is no term for 'aleprechaunism'.
Atheists can practice naturalism, atheists can pratice materialism or objectivism, but they are not practicing *atheism*. They are atheists practicing a philosophy. Just because an atheist does something doesn't mean it's because of his atheism.
No pun intended? No pun achieved.
You jump to conclusions in an effort to make yourself appear more intelligent at the expense of others. Ignorance is all that can be said to describe a man who tells another man that his opinions are wrong.
No, I point things out when I feel they should be, to avoid misconceptions. You appear to be unable to deal with this, and have to insult me in order to maintain your self-esteem. Or something. More likely, you're just stupid. And ignorant, since you told me my opinion was wrong, by your standards.
Yet each man kills the thing he loves--
By each let this be heard...
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!
