I'm around a lot of kids, and its amazing to me how many of the young girls (I'm talking about 1st grade) are self-concious (how I wish I could spell that word!) about their looks. I had a 2nd grader in my Sunday School class who put herself on a diet for crying out loud. *shakes head* Its really sad.
Ain't that the truth. This is slightly off-topic, but my two younger half-cousins (Grade 3 and 1, I think), got portable CD-players for Christmas, and at dinner that night they each had a Shania Twain album in, with the volume cranked up so high that I, from ten feet away, could make out the lyrics to "Man ... I Feel Like A Woman!" That's just messed up.
