Can you name any? I'm a novice at these tyoes of thing...
Well, having non-web-based e-mail allows you to get and send e-mails of any size, I guess, which is impossible from web-based emails. It also allows you to stock far more old e-mails. On the negative side, you can't check your e-mail while on another comp, and it is easier to get a web-based addy than a non-web-based one.
The thing is, I like those Messanger things that tell you when you have a new e-mail. Saves logging in and checking every 0.3 seconds. That's why I wouldn't and am not using wotmania. Yahoo seems the best that I've used... should I change or not? Hmmm....
MSN Messenger on itself is okay, but Hotmail is such a pain that I would indeed suggest you continue using Yahoo! (I think those are the only two that tell you about new e-mail, but then, since I don't have an AOL or ICQmail addy, I wouldn't know about them, perhaps they do that too). If you ever plan to use several messengers at once, I suggest you download Trillian (at http://www.ceruleanstudios.com ).
That will allow you to communicate with people who use any of the other messengers, and it will also allow you to see when you get new e-mail on any of your addresses.
