Yeah, I'm back, at least for a while. Dori's post and several notes and the greetings in chat made me feel very guilty indeed; I should not have left.
No you should not have. Though *giggles* it's good to have you back.
But, as I am sure you must know, wotmania the site is far more addictive than the books themselves. The people here (motherly, random, insane, sexual, bizarre...) draw you in until there is almost no turning back. You come to depend on them. They befriend and amuse and sustain you.
Indeed! Wotmania is a haven amongst havens. A vacation from reality in a reality-based vacation.
And now I'm in high school, with 7 classes, art club, piano, Senior GS, etc... it's not impossible to find time for hobbies and such, but addictions are another story. So this is my question: how do you visit wotmania... with moderation? A couple people (my own Mum and Gaidin, for example) seem to have managed it.
high school is fun, I hope you enjoy it. i had a grand ol time.
As to managing moderation, you just have to realize that what lies outside the computer also requires attention. it helps to have people to go do things, even if it is just watching tv together, or going outside for a snowball fight. *shrugs* It's a balance you have to tinker with. Two autumns ago, when I struck 10,000 posts, there was an imbalance between myself, wotmania, and reality. Now, I would never dream of doing what I did before. It seems to me that it would be impossible, and rather silly, since I have a place outside of wotmania to escape. But I also have a place at wotmania to escape from outside.
And while you're at, tell me what's been happening around here... things don't seem to have changed much really, other than some new faces. *hugs the old familiar ones*
Well, let's see. New chat, new Comm MB, and new people. That's about it.
